Look for the right home for you—not a perfect house.
Start with the way you want to live, get clear on your priorities, and be ready when a home fits.
If you’re thinking about buying a home, here’s a distinction I want you to keep in mind: look for the right home for you. Looking for a house with absolutely nothing you would change can distract you from what matters most.
Know what matters in your daily life.
Let’s talk about your preferred areas, your budget, how much space you need, and your timing. Which features are essential? Which would be nice to have? What work would you comfortably take on, and what would make a home the wrong fit?
That conversation gives our search direction. It also helps us evaluate a home with perspective instead of making every decision around one feature or one imperfect finish.
Be prepared to act on the right opportunity.
If you’re financing the purchase, let’s get your lender involved early and have an appropriate preapproval ready. A preapproval can help communicate your financing readiness, but it is not a guaranteed loan offer. Your lender will explain the remaining conditions. For a cash purchase, we’ll discuss the proof of funds needed to support your offer.
Finding the right fit does not mean overlooking important concerns. I’ll help you evaluate the property and the offer, and work with you and your attorney as we address inspection and contract questions.
The search should be built around your life—not just a list of houses.
Tell me what you’re looking for, and let’s put a buying plan together.
